    Seachem's PhosGuard is a high performance phosphate & silicate remover for the marine or freshwater aquarium. A great choice to lower to high phosphate concentrations in the marine aquarium / reef tank. PhosGuard will not leak phosphate & silicate back into the water.

    In a planted reef tank / macroalgae refugium we recommend not to reduce the phosphate concentration below 0.02 ppm and to dose macroalgae fertilizer when necessary. This product is designed to lower the phosphate concentration to 0.02 ppm.

    PhosGuard™ Phosphate remover 100ml / 250ml / 500ml / 1000ml

    PhosGuard is the professional method to remove phosphate and silicate in the marine aquarium without releasing it back into the marine aquarium water.

    A too high phosphate concentration in the marine aquarium can cause nuisance algae growth and affect the growth of hard corals.

    How to use:

    • Pre-rinse before use as it may generate heat on initial contact with water
    • Place in an area with good water flow but not that it will tumbles against itself
    • Can be used in canister filter, media chamber and box filter
    • Use 85 ml ( 1/3 cup) for every 200l marine water 400l freshwater

    It is recommended to check the phosphate concentration regularly. After the phosphate remover has been added to the marine aquarium please check after a few days if the phosphate concentration has dropped to 0.02 ppm. 
    If not please replace the PhosGuard™. Otherwise leave the PhosGuard™ in the aquarium until you see the phosphate concentration starting to rise again.
