Caulerpa Sertulariodes is a very beautiful macroalgae which develops upright feather or fern looking blades, which canreach a high up to 20cm. It can be sometimes mistaken as Caulerpa Taxifolia but it looks more filigrain. It grows well in the substrate but prefers more hard surfaces to attach to.

The blade colour varies between darker to lighter green shades, but normally it is more a lighter colour as shown in the picture.
It will attach itself with Rhizoids to rock or into the substrate. As it is a fast growing macro algae species it can easily overgrow the rocks when not kept restrained.
it grows opposite to the Caulerpa Taxifolia more in shallow sandy areas, protected between mangroves areas or shallow reefs.
It is more palatable and therefore we recommend it as an additional natural food source for your fishes.
