    Continuum Basis Chaeto Grow 250ml / 500ml

    Continuum's Basis Chaeto Grow is a liquid, invertebrate safe multi-nutrient fertilizer for Chaetomorpha and other macroalgae species. It contains all the nutrients / minerals that macro algae will need to grow, but no Phosphate / Phosphorus and Nitrate / Nitrogen.
    Nitrate or Phosphate may be required for the plant growth in the heavily planted Reef Tank or Refugium or in the case of a very light fish load. Continuum Basis Chaeto Grow does not contain dangerous polycycloglutaracetal or glutaraldehyde.

    Instructions Guidelines

    • Shake Continuum Basis Chaeto Grow well before using.
    • Starter recommendation: 
      Dose 5ml (1 capful) per 20 US-gallons (76 L) of reef aquarium water twice per week for the first 2 weeks of use and increase the dosage when necessary thereafter.
    • expert recommendation:
      ULNS aquariums and heavily loaded aquariums may require higher dosages to achieve low phosphate and nitrate levels. Experienced aquarists may add 1 capful (5 ml) per 20 US-gallons (76 L) 3 or 4 times per week, depending on the Chaetomorpha / Caulerpa density and growth rate.
    • For a strong macroalgae growth it is recommended to maintain a minimum Nitrate level of 3-5 ppm and phosphate level of 0.01 ppm, as otherwise an optimum macroalgae growth may not be possible.

    My refugium macro algae was not growing well but within a week of using the Basis Chaeto Grow my refugium kicked into gear. It did not mess up with my tank chemistry either. Good product I can recommend..
